Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Coffer. They're written in plain English so you can actually read them.

Last updated: June 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Coffer, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

2. What Coffer Is

Coffer is a personal, manual-entry money and investment tracker. You enter what you own; Coffer organises and displays it. Coffer is not a bank, a brokerage, an investment adviser, a financial planner, a tax adviser, or any kind of regulated financial service. It does not hold, move, or custody any money or securities.

3. No Financial, Investment, or Tax Advice

Important: Coffer does not provide financial, investment, or tax advice of any kind. All figures, charts, and totals displayed in the app are for your own personal tracking and reference only. They are based solely on the data you enter and the exchange rates Coffer fetches — they may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. Do not make investment, financial, or tax decisions based solely on information shown in Coffer. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for any decisions you make.

4. Account & Device

Coffer requires no account registration. Your data lives on your device and, optionally, in your private iCloud. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account. Coffer cannot recover data lost due to a lost or damaged device where iCloud sync was not enabled.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Plans

Billing

All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple's Media Services Terms. Your payment details go to Apple, never to Coffer. Subscription prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by region.

Auto-renewal & Cancellation

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To manage or cancel, go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. Coffer cannot process refunds — refund requests must be directed to Apple.

Restoring Purchases

If you reinstall Coffer or switch devices, tap Restore Purchases inside the app, or your purchases will be automatically recognised when you sign in with the same Apple ID used to buy them.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual Property

Coffer, including its design, code, graphics, and the “All your money. In one Coffer.” tagline, is owned by Saksham Virmani and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any ownership rights — only a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your Apple devices in accordance with these terms and the App Store terms.

Data you enter into Coffer remains entirely yours. Coffer makes no claim to it.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Coffer is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that exchange rates and price data will be accurate or up to date. Use of Coffer is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coffer and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Coffer after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
